The Registro Pubblico delle Opposizioni (RPO) is the official Italian opt-out register managed by the Fondazione Ugo Bordoni under the authority of the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (MIMIT) and supervised by the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali. The telephone register covers all national fixed and mobile numbers, whether or not they appear in public telephone directories, and can revoke telemarketing consents given before registration. Its separate postal register applies to addresses associated with numbers in public telephone directories. A later specific consent, or a continuing contract or one ended no more than 30 days earlier, can still affect whether a call is permitted; consult the current RPO rules for renewal and selective revocation.
